I am Jennifer, owner and designer behind Je'Denise Handmade Handbags. I am a Charlotte based Entrepreneur in the retail fashion industry.
What made me interested in the world of Fashion you ask?
Fashion was introduced to me as a child. My Mother and late grandmother owned a small seamstress boutique, located in my hometown Newburgh NY. Their business consists of creating custom garments, selling notions, fabric, and teaching evening sewing classes. Around age nine I mastered; sewing classes, running the register, helping with fittings, and cutting patterns. I enjoyed every part of the operations and knew that fashion and entrepreneurship would always be a part of me.
In my late teen years to early adulthood, I focused on Fashion Design and worked extensively in the retail fashion industry. I later graduated college with an Associates in Business Administration. After years of retail experience and entrepreneur adventures, I became the owner of N2S Fashion Boutique located in the University area of Charlotte, NC where I sold woman's clothes, handbags, and accessories. After a period of time, I decided to return to my online platform.
My love for fashion trends, enhancing style, and building customers self-confidence encouraged me not to give up. I created BossLady4Style selling wholesale handbags online. although I enjoyed selling handbags, there was still something missing. I couldn't find who I am and my diverse style in the bags I was selling so I decided to research making handbags. I watched videos, read books, made patterns, and purchased fabric, before I knew it I was making handbags . Once I began investing and believing in myself I decided to make the switch from selling wholesale bags to making handmade bags.
